Fire 2011 - The Event will have multiple artistic events over the nine day event, including performances, concerts, visual displays, sculpture, and art exhibits. Additionally, satellite events from around the world will have a synchronized, symbolic event involving fire and rhythm instruments. Minimum 4 cities from around the world will join the Fire event on the night of solistice (21st of June).

FIRE Event SCENARIO

The event “Fire – Energy” shall take place in the evening and night in the outdoor space, in part on the river/lake (on the boats). “Light and sound” show will be using the fire in its traditional and technological form – with lasers and multimedia projections. The light and fire effects will be aligned with music, dance and elements of Swiss traditions. In the event new technologies such as directional lights, crawlers, dipped three-dimensional systems shall be used. A satellite broadcasts from other places in the world, which will be held similar events that night is also planned.

The show scenario will be based on the following:

I. PRIMARY FIRE ELEMENT

Around Fire We grew from the times of our Ancestors.

That was in the times when we have been much more attached to the Place.

We cared about Our Land and about Our Tribes.

We have been gathering in circles around it and decide for our Common Future.

It is the time of the tribal music, tribal dances and masks,

based partly on the Swiss mountain traditions.

II. MODERN TECHNOLOGICAL ENERGY

The Fire has moved Our Civilization

Ever faster and faster,

glowing stronger and stronger,

creating every day more Technologic Energy.

Modern dance. Electronic music. Laser and multimedia show.

III. NON-SUSTAINABLE ENERGY USE

This growth was based on the wrong assumptions.

Assumptions of the instant gratification.

It has been praising over-consumption and a short-term vision.
